WHAT WE DO
Fight Water Crisis And Protection Of Water Catchments In The Rural Landscapes.
The availability of portable water in many rural areas in Cameroon is a serious problem today. Many rural areas in the North West, South West, and Northern Regions either lack portable water or suffer the effect of dry season and drought when most of their dependent streams and springs dry up. During the peak of the dry season, when the water table has drastically gone down, local communities in these regions move long distances to obtain water from streams which most often are contaminated by the feces of domestic animals. SPEF seeks to provide boreholes and protect catchments in really needy communities in these Regions.
