KWALAR GLORY BONYAH

Kwalar is a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Geography and Planning, University of Bamenda. She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Curriculum Studies and Teaching Geography and a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Natural Resource and Environmental Management from the University of Buea Cameroon. She is an Environmental Specialist possessing strong knowledge in community development, land/conflict management, peace advocacy, and natural resource management programs. She has offered over 8 years of hands-on experience in project implementation, community empowerment/mobilization, and environmental issues to recommend solutions. She is focused and determined professional with outstanding analytical abilities and expertise in socioeconomic and environmental surveys. She is highly skilled at communicating with colleagues, monitoring status, and achieving key milestones. She is an enthusiastic, problem solver, and talented team player with superior planning and decision-making skills and she are passionate about programs that improve community life and sustainably promote peace and security.

She has worked as a consultant at Green Forest Foundation where she planned, organized, and implemented surveys within the different areas of intervention, Liaise with partners and other civil society organizations on projects to be implemented. She has also been the Project coordinator in Bridge-Up Foundation where she elaborated the Communal Development Plan for Limbe I and Idabato Councils Coordinated baseline data collection for the village and urban spaces and also coordinated the organization of stakeholder meetings/analysis.

She also Coordinated the needs assessment of vulnerable teenage girls of Ndian., and Coordinate Rapid needs assessment for IDPs living in the bushes of Ndian. Coordinate the implementation of all field humanitarian activities. She has also been a Volunteer Project Assistant at the Transparency International Cameroon On the REDD+ Governance and Finance Integrity And also a Volunteer Administrative Assistant in the Kimbi-Fungom National Park where she Scheduled appointments, and drafting legal documents including but not limited to Terms of Reference, invitations to stakeholders and reports. She is a Member of the People Earth Wise and Geo-Environmental Resource association.
