Mumbang Coleen is a botanist with over five years of field research experience on mangroves forest ecology, biodiversity, coastal conservation, and ecohydrology, with proven results and internationally recognized publications. She has a proven track record leading, managing, and monitoring biodiversity and ecological field teams and research projects in the densest mangrove-infested regions of the southwest and Littoral provinces of Cameroon. She has a strong working knowledge of identifying, cataloging, and managing mangrove ecosystems along the coastal regions of the Cameroon/Nigeria border. She is a researcher who has worked with a number of organizations; She Successfully Collaborated with CWCS to set up permanent sample plots in the communities of Mpalla, Londji, Mbiako, Ndigl, and Mouanko, and identified degraded mangroves in the Douala-Edea National Park. She supported the project director to develop and implement effective monitoring and evaluation systems for climate change/agriculture-related programs/projects. She has been focused on Crafting and delivering sensitization materials on the importance of mangroves to the community for the mangrove community of Tiko and Bimbia. She has also led research teams on surveys of smallholder oil palm producers in the Tombel Sub-Division.
