Environmental Education
Ignorance of the environment is a very serious issue in contemporary times. Increasing people’s knowledge and awareness about the environment and its associated challenges is one of the key objectives of SPEF.
Why do we need environmental education?
Through this Environmental education, local people need to be connected to nature. In schools, students will be prepared for the future, empowers environmental stewards of all ages, builds community, and changes lifestyles. SPEF is developing the necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges and fosters attitudes, motivations, and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action for the changing environment. SPEF is great concern with awareness and sensitivity to the environment and environmental challenges.
We Design Programs and Projects on Environmental education for Schools across Cameroon.
SPEF is greatly concern with awareness and sensitivity to the environment and environmental challenges. Programs and Projects on Environmental education will be designed and taught in both primary and secondary schools in both private and government schools in Cameroon. Students will participate in activities that lead to the resolution of environmental challenges. Oral competitions will be organized in schools to foster the understanding of the human-environment connection. This will be on ways to sustainably utilize natural resources, the environment, and the ecosystem services that they provide. Youths will be engaged through excursions to protected areas in Cameroon and they will also be involved in afforestation campaigns.
